About Me:

Dana Uden received her B.S. in Meteorology (with minors in Mathematics and Business) from the University of Oklahoma (2014). She received her M.S. in Atmospheric Science from the University of Wyoming (2016) where she flew as the King Air Flight Scientist during a field campaign. After graduate school, Dana conducted solar resource assessments for a large renewable energy developer in Florida. A native Coloradoan, she returned home in 2017 to join the CIRA team stationed at NOAA’s Global Systems Laboratory in Boulder, CO. She began as a scientific analyst and now serves as the CIRA Associate Director. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Dana conducts research and impact-based verification assessments of aviation weather products for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sponsors. Dana is also interested in fire weather and other applied meteorology topics.
