Dr. Scheck supervises the Aviation Support Branch, which focuses on the science and technology integration into operations at the NOAA/NWS Aviation Weather Center. A group of about 20 IT and research meteorologists, the branch is integral in the research to application process that supports Aviation Weather Center forecasters as they provide critical weather forecast information to the Federal Aviation Administration, commercial airlines, general aviation, and the International Civil Aviation Organization.
