Hiro Gosden joined CIRA in 1995 as a Research Associate to work on a project which enabled scientists to use PC based satellite data analysis systems to utilize Geostationary Satellite data to aid them with their atmospheric science research. These systems, named RAMSDIS, were later deployed to various NWS Forecast Offices in aiding the forecasters with their analysis. In 2001, in working with the Hurricane Mitch Reconstruction Project, he traveled to Central America to deploy RAMSDIS systems in each of the countries. He continues to work in the Satellite Meteorology field by providing critical computer support and programming skill to aid in various projects. He received his BS in Computer Systems Engineering from University of Arkansas.
