I received my BS in Meteorology from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN (2008), where I did undergraduate research on ozone. I received my MS (2010) and PhD (2014) in Atmospheric Science from Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins, CO working with Colette Heald. I did my postdoctoral work with Jeff Pierce and Emily Fischer at CSU working on estimating surface-level smoke concentrations for use in epidemiology studies (2015-2016). I was a Research Scientist with Jeff Pierce from 2017-2023 working on a variety of interdisciplinary air quality projects. I have very broad interests in air quality, including: satellite observations of air quality, health effects associated with exposure to poor air quality, communication of air quality, and routine monitoring of air quality. I joined the CIRA NPS group in Fall 2023.
