There are two methods to restore a PST file. You can either import the PST, which merges it with your existing mailbox, or you can simply mount the PST to view the items in a separate folder. The import procedure is basically the opposite of the "How to Backup" procedure. Unless you are restoring an empty mailbox, it is recommended you mount the PST so that you do not inadvertently end up with duplicate items.
