CIRA E-Mail Backup
Although Exchange mail servers are backed up, these backups can take time, sometimes several days,
to restore in the case of a server failure. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you backup your email
to a file.
Advantages:
- Periodic backups allow you to have archived mail you may want in the future
- The backup has your Contacts and Calendar as well as the messages
- You can import the backup anytime you need it
Select File/Import and Export
Choose Export to a File and click Next
Select "Personal Folder File (.pst)" and click Next
Choose your top level folder (typically Mailbox - Username), click "Include subfolders", then click Next.
Choose a destination and filename and click OK
Check your settings and click Finish
Give meaningful name and click OK. The backup is complete. Large folders may take some time.
