Contributors: Brian Motta, Dan Bikos, Kevin Schrab, Don Hillger, and Tony Mostek.

1) Introduction

This presentation will explore the use of the GOES imager data and ways of displaying GOES imagery and products in the AWIPS environment. The suggested default color tables are displayed and explained.

The goal of this training session is to learn to modify/enhance AWIPS satellite imagery for specific applications/features.

2) Training session options

A.) Web-based training session - a "stand alone" version viewed via a Web browser, with embedded talking points included. This lesson version may be viewed at any time.
Some slides have loops with them. There will be loop control buttons below these images. After the image loads press the play button ">" to loop the imagery.
    "<" rewinds the loop
    "[]" stops the loop
"S(1)" will go to the first image in the loop
