During the last 8 years, Mr. Mathewson has been involved in developing an Interagency Predictive Services Program that provides operational resource decision support at regional and national levels. In 2007, he was one of a few U.S. Meteorologists selected to provide fire weather support for the Bureau of Meteorology in Melbourne, Australia. Before coming to Lakewood, Mr. Mathewson was a Meteorologist for the National Weather Service for 8 years, which included the positions at NWS Cheyenne, NWS Waterloo, NWS Goodland and a Fire Weather Forecaster/Incident Meteorologist at the NWS Office in Missoula, Montana.
