My main focus will be on the analysis of changes in the atmospheric water budget components over the Mediterranean and the Mid-East. I will show our results for the climatic trends to extremes and regional modeling over the E. Mediterranean.

Our precipitation predictions for the Mediterranean employing both high-resolution MRI Japanese runs and our ensemble RCM model simulations show increased inter-annual variability and probability of multi-year droughts. Additional information from other climate models will improve our ability to answer questions such as "what is the probability that there will be a multi-year drought or severe heat wave in the coming decade?" and help inform our policy makers about adaptive response.

In addition, I will review our innovative method for monitoring the atmosphere with data from the cellular communication systems.
