• Develop IR satellite and ocean heat content (OHC) databases for the Indian Ocean (IO) and S. Hemisphere (SH)
• Complete real time implementation and monitor real time runs.
• Perform preliminary evaluations.
• Develop IR and OHC climatologies for the IO and SH.
• Code Modifications to accommodate the S. Hemisphere.
• Statistical development of new SHIPS/LGEM/RII.
• Updating of statistical baseline forecasts, extend to 10 days if necessary.
• Runs on retrospective cases for initial testing.
• Begin running experimental version in real-time at CIRA for evaluation.
• Coordination with NRL on implementation for real time tests.
• Evaluate over experimental real-time test period and update products as needed prior to operational implementation.
