Objectives:
- Comparison of two variational flux assimilation setups (Baker's and those produced by the CMS flux pilot project) to identify any theoretical or implementation errors made by either group, and point to which setup details in each implementation are most useful.
- Research three new enhancements of the variational method that should benefit the work of both groups.
