Software Engineering Support for the Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) Common Ground System Interface Data Processing Segment (IDPS)
CSU Project #: 5-31282Sponsor: NOAA
Primary Investigator: Dr. Clifford Matsumoto
Start Date: April 1st, 2012
End Date: December 31st, 2012
Objectives:
- 1. Advise DPE and DPA on the development, maintenance, improvement, documentation and use of the Algorithm Developmental Library (ADL). This advice may relate either to activities performed by, or products created by, Raytheon, or as performed or created by other members of the ADL software community, e.g., the University of Wisconsin.
- 2. Use the ADL for analysis of IDPS algorithm codes and related software items, e.g., static lookup tables.
- 3. Assist ADL users who turn to DPE for guidance in the use of the ADL, or for troubleshooting on their own installations of ADL, or in regard to their work with IDPS algorithm codes in the ADL framework.
- 4. Assist DPA and DPE team members or Cal-Val team members wishing to use the GRAVITE testbed for Cal-Val or other program-related software development, analysis and testing.
- 5. Assist in the integration into the IDPS-ADL framework of science-grade software on the GRAVITE testbed.
- 6. Participate as requested and/or needed in program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and team telecoms, software discrepancy analysis meetings, etc.
- 7. Provide DPE and DPA with analysis and interpretation of IDPS documentation including, but not limited to, Interface Control Documents and Data Format Control Books (CDFCB-X, IDFCB).
- 8. Act as JPSS DPE/AIT Ground Liaison to the assigned SDR/EDR Algorithm / Validation Group.
- 9. Provide monthly reports to JPSS DPE summarizing support tasks and accomplishments.
