Evan Polster received a BA in Computer Science from State University of New York at Potsdam (1984). With 24 years of computer software development experience, his areas of interest include object-oriented design and development specializing in client-side solutions with expertise in Java and C++ high-level programming languages. Also of interest, more contemporary investigations into Web 2.0 methodologies, including the study and application of Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services, and Rich Internet Applications, and how these technologies will, over the coming years, play a role in the delivery and display of scientific geographical spatial data. Current job requirements encompass the full software life-cycle, including prototype, design, development, testing, and delivery/distribution of complex and state-of-the-art science applications.
