Federal Land Manager Environmental Database and Website (FED)
Designed and developed the database and website infrastructure for providing online access to an extensive collection of environmental data to Federal Land Managers (the National Park Service , the U.S. Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service) in order to enable them to assess and track air quality in National Parks, National Forests, and Wilderness Areas. A primary goal of this system is to help Federal agencies successfully comply with the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) and the EPA's Regional Haze Rule to preserve and improve air quality in Federally-protected lands over time. This project involved the development of new tools to analyze the impacts to air quality in Federal Class I and Class II areas from both natural and human-caused sources, and to highlight the impact from specific pollutants of particular concern such as ozone, wildfires, sulfate, nitrate, and others.
