NOAA’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems...

NOAA’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems is quickly becoming a project with great interest. Before it became a funded project, Jennifer created the web site to educate the public and others in NOAA about the potential of using unmanned aircraft for a variety of scientific research. The site has grown along with the project and can be found at the following URL: uas.noaa.gov.

One of NOAA’s Research and Development High Performance Computers is housed in Boulder, Colorado at the Earth Systems Research Laboratory. Jennifer worked on the procurement website for this multi-million dollar purchase by creating an interactive site for both vendors and internal users to communicate the requirements of the acquisition. Since the procurement, a site has been set up to track the information related to the system as well as application forms and reports for users of the system. This site can be viewed at: rdhpcs.noaa.gov/boulder.
