Societal and Economic Impact Studies Research

The Social Science Research Group (SSRG) at the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere was constituted in April 2011, and in its short existence, has begun important social science research relevant to the atmospheric sciences, particularly with respect to operational aspects. Using the tools of social psychology, which seeks to understand the nature and causes of individual behavior and thought in social situations, the CIRA Social Science Research Group investigates social phenomena in a quantitative manner.
