Opportunity for Graduate Student Support through GSD

Friday, June 17, 2016

The GSD Director’s Office has set aside initial funding to support two graduate students for two years each. One of the students will be funded through CIRA at CSU and one through CIRES at CU. We are soliciting proposals for candidate topics the students would work on at GSD over the next two years.

The students will work through CIRA and CIRES and in full coordination with their respective Department advisors (M.S. or Ph.D.) and under the direction of a GSD sponsor (i.e., the successful PI who wrote the proposal).  This arrangement, in principle, has been worked out with both the CIRA and CIRES Directors, as well as the respective Department Chairs (ATOC at CU and the Dept. of Atm. Sciences at CSU). However, given this is the first time this has been done in recent years, the implementation details may need some work.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please follow the simple template in the folder linked below. Be sure to get your Branch Chief (if applicable) to sign-off on the proposal before submitting it.
