March 2013
Cooler and wetter than normal conditions made headlines in Cheyenne Wells during the month of March. The average high was 54.0° which was cooler than the normal value of 56.8°. The average low of 22.9° was cooler than the normal average low of 27.1°. Extremes ranged from a high of 77° on the 16th to a low of 4° on both the 24th and 25th. It was a wet month with a few different snow storms tracking across the area. The weather station received 1.02 inches of moisture compared to the normal of 0.81 inches. There was 6.1 inches of snow during March with a maximum snow depth of 4 inches on the 23rd.
