Cool and wet best describes the month of March around Akron, although it was two main storms that really dominated the final monthly outcome. The average high for the month was 50.0° compared to the normal of 52.7°. The average low was 21.5° compared to the normal of 26.1°. Extremes ranged from a high of 79° on the 16th to -6° on the 25th. Total precipitation for the month measured 1.91 inches which was well above the normal value of 0.93 inches. There was 15.5 inches of snow recorded for the month with a maximum snow depth of 9 inches on the 23rd.
