Rapid Scan Operation Real-Time Imagery

The RSO (Rapid Scan Operation) webpage is designed to allow access to imagery when a satellite is put into a mode in which images are taken at a faster rate than usual. The images from the RSO webpage are ingested at the rate that the satellite takes them, the frequency is not limited to 15 minute intervals as is the case on the other RAMSDIS On-Line webpages. If there has been no Rapid Scan Operation called the image frequency is identical to that of the other webpages.

For each satellite there are four products available; three products (Visible, Water Vapor, and IR ch. 4) that cover the 7-minute sector for the respective satellite, and one full resolution visible floating sector that will be moved to the focus of each RSO.
