Today's discussion focuses on thin cirrus -- seen in the infrared image above over Montana and the Dakotas. These clouds will examined in all five GOES-10 imager channels and in GOES-10 reflectivity and long-wave difference products as well as METAR observations and University of Wisconsin/CIMSS cloud top pressure product.
