Today's discussion focuses on a cold front moving southward over northeastern Colorado (NE CO) and NW Kansas (NW KS) on the afternoon of Friday October 1 -- seen as a north-to-south temperature gradient in the infrared image above. This front will be examined using a loop of GOES-10 infrared imagery, surface observations from Limon, CO, a map of local topography, and NEXRAD radars in Denver, CO and Goodland, KS.
