The massive runoff made its way east to the newly-renovated Morgan Library (#4 on below map). Here, it was forced around the building. About 2/3 of the volume was shunted north, where it inundated both the south and west sides of the Lory Student Center (#2). On the west side of the large structure, the terrain drops off sharply to a picturesque lowland area surrounding an artistically-sculpted lagoon (#5). The water first filled the lowlands, then shattered the glass doors on the west side of the lower level of the Lory Center. The flood waters poured through the building, then out to the engineering building parking lot on the north side (#6), and finally eastward across the rest of the campus.
