Weather Summary
What was a major low over the weekend weakened and stalled out over the Great Lakes. This kept southwestern Ontario under clouds and light snow, but southeastern Ontario stayed sunny.

Flight Summary
Today's flight targeted the afternoon Kingston overpass. With little in the way of cloud cover along the satellite track, it was a CALIPSO/lidar validation flight. CLEX did not participate.

GOES-12 IR (10.7 µm) brightness temperature from CIRA. The color scale begins at 0 °C with an increment of -10 °C between color changes.
GOES-12 experimental cloud phase from CIRA. Blue represents ice particles, red is liquid droplets above freezing and yellow represents supercooled liquid droplets. Gray areas are clear (no cloud) based on an IR cloud mask.
