Weather Summary

The low pressure system over northeast Texas yesterday moved rapidly to the northeast overnight, and brought a strong winter storm to the Great Lakes and Southern Ontario. A mixture of rain, freezing rain and snow hit the area and affected Ottawa all day.

Flight Summary

With widespread precipitation and deep clouds, it was not an ideal CLEX day. As such, CLEX operations were not warranted. It was tempting for C3VP to fly a non-overpass, "weather-only" flight targeting the storm, but hazardous travel conditions with freezing rain at the airport brought that idea to a halt. It was a day to stay home and stay safe.
