We are on STAND-DOWN for the entire weekend. The next update will be made
1500L Sunday, October 28.
The short term forecast calls for low moisture, subsidence and clear skies
with a ridge of high pressure that has built into the CLEX target region.
This ridge will remain in place through Sunday, with no mid-level moisture
present. As a result, we will stand down operations for both Saturday and
Sunday.
In the longer term, the CLEX target region will be under the influence of
SWerly flow as the ridge builds eastward. The formation of appropriate mid-
level clouds is possible but not likely to occur early next week. Wednesday
looks like the next best chance for mid-level cloud formation, as a trough
builds in from the NW.
